Terrifying moment plane window is SMASHED in mid-air brawl that sparked an emergency landing
A plane's window has been smashed with two alleged brawls erupting mid-air in front of terrified passengers and crew.
The trouble occurred on a flight from Cairns to Darwin, via the island of Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria, on Thursday night and resulted in not one but two emergency landings that saw four passengers charged.
Footageof the second incident shows a man allegedly raising a bottle above his head and using it to strike another passenger.
The Aircraft's internal window was smashed in the second of two alleged mid-air brawls that saw four passengers arrested It came after the first alleged brawl broke saw the aircraft turned back to Cairns.
When the plane landed, a woman was taken off the flight and charged with assault, disorderly behaviour on an aircraft and failing to comply with safety instructions by cabin crew.
The unnamed airline then attempted to make the trip across Northern Australia a second time.Butthe group of passengers involved in the first alleged brawl began arguing again and another fight unfolded.
The plane landed at Alyangula on Groote Eylandt and was met by NT police who arrested three passengers.
